We have an announcement about our trip. Sharon has had some health issues that have gotten worse recently. A few weeks ago we returned to North Carolina to see her specialists. It’s all been testing so far and we’re keeping a positive attitude. In light of all this, we have decided to put our trip on hold for the winter and rent a furnished home through February. We hope to “get back out there” after that.

We were an hour and a half away from Niagara Falls, so we went there for lunch one day (as well as a good bit of walking around)! Why just lunch? After our New Jersey stay (NYC and Philadelphia), we spent 2 weeks visiting family in Massachusetts. We did a lot during that time, so it’s taking me a long time to curate and edit photos. In the mean time, our next destination was Rhode Island. Rhode Island is one of those states we don’t think a lot about. It’s small and there isn’t a lot of marketing done for tourism. Honestly, we didn’t know what to expect.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a travel update. We stopped by my brother’s house for a couple weeks and got lazy. After New York City, we visited Philadelphia. It was an extremely hot day, but sunny. We found Philly quite difficult to drive around in. If we had to do it over again, we’d do some sort of bus tour. One thing to note — we were not able to tour Independence Hall, or even enter it. It requires tickets in advance that sell out. Go here to plan ahead.
